Children’s Fishing Derby
The 3 French Hen’s Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, August 8th, 2009, from 9:00–11:00am along the I&M canal at the Three French Hen’s Market. The event is open to children ages 3 to 12. click here for the application and info! We are limiting this event to the first 30 entries!

We hope you'll have plenty of fish stories to share!

3 French Hens Market June 27, 2009

Basket in hand you stroll through the open air French Country Market at Canal Port, squeezing the vine-ripened tomatoes, adding some fresh picked strawberries. Stop by the pasterrie' for a baguette, some homeade cookies & muffins-a nibble now, some for later. The farmer's wife has been canning...jellies, jams, and honey! Add some fresh cut flowers, and head over to the artisan's selling one of a kind creations! Ahh, save a little time for those selling vintage must haves & unique curiosities. All this shopping works up an appetite-maybe a corndog (with mustard), Grundy County's "official" favorite. It is such a beautiful summer day, why not stroll on down the canal, double back, and head North to wander through the local shoppes, stopping at a nearby pub to wet your whistle! We know you had such a great time you'll be back next month for the 3 French Hens Country Market....& bring a friend or two! Merci
